In 2007, Dot Vegas, Inc. undertook the process of acquiring .Vegas - a city top-level domain enterprise intended to promote Las Vegas as the premier destination in cyberspace as well as in the world. Our motivation remains to open wide the now congested domains of .com and .net with a localized option to better serve the people and businesses that reside in or interact with our renowned city.

Authorized with the milestone "Resolution of Support" received from the City of Las Vegas, Dot Vegas, Inc. continues to collect local and statewide support for the company’s ultimate application to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) for the creation and management of the .Vegas top-level domain.

Additional declarations of support for Dot Vegas, Inc. already have been secured from key governmental and industry bodies including the City of North Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Nevada Development Authority and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.

The principals of Dot Vegas, Inc. have a wide range of business and professional experience in the domain name industry. James Trevino, President and CEO, and Dustin Trevino are successful entrepreneurs and financiers who have worked extensively in the management, operation, and marketing of top-level domains; Bart Mackay is recognized worldwide as an expert in the domain name industry; and Joseph W. Brown is a noted attorney and President of the Las Vegas law firm, Jones Vargas.
